Rincón de la Vieja National Park

Located about an hour and a half from the resort, this national park is a geothermal and ecological gem in Guanacaste, home to the active Rincón de la Vieja Volcano. Spanning over 14,000 hectares, the park features tropical forests, both dry and wet jungles, and active volcanic lands. Visitors encounter hot springs, trails through geysers and fumaroles, and diverse ecosystems with species ranging from hummingbirds and toucans to pumas and tapirs.

Activities: The park offers several hiking trails that pass by stunning waterfalls like the impressive La Cangreja Falls, natural hot spring pools, and volcanic mud pits. Guests can also enjoy canopy ziplining, river tubing on the Colorado River, relaxing in thermal pools, and panoramic views from elevated points that overlook the Guanacaste coast.
